Day 1
Marrakech (Ouarzazate) – Tazzarine – Saredrar

The tizi n’Tichka, pass at more than 2 200 meters high, gives access to the plain of Ouarzazate (lunch). We begin to feel more and more in the South. The superb valley of Draa, its villages built in adobe, Agdz, N’Kob, its palm groves, and it’s the arrival to Saredrar in the middle of nowhere. Installation at a fully furnished Saharan camp: traditional Berber tents, beds, showers, toilets, restaurant.

Day 2
Saredrar – Ikwa n’Blafaida

The camel drivers are at the ready to take the luggage. A good breakfast, and it’s off to the South-East. Very slowly, the caravan crosses a plateau that leads to Berghwa by walking between wadi, acacias, and dunes to the beautiful sand dunes of Ikwa n’Blafaida where the first camp is.

Day 3
Ikwa n’Blafaida – Takecha

Continuation of the descent. We take the gorges of Taghbalte passing to the left the village of Aït Mnad where a weekly souk takes place and merchandises are exchanged between nomads and villagers of this region. A magnificent stage, always from one palm grove to another with its date palms and vegetable gardens irrigated by pumps. Then, the discovery of the famous chain of century-old wells that still work at present. Camping at Takecha, near the palm grove.

Day 4
Takecha – Foum Tizza

Last view over the palm grove, and we begin the day with a small climb to cross the tizi (pass) n’Tagorte that opens up onto a plateau dotted with acacia trees. A beautiful landscape awaits following the plateau, before crossing the crest of Foum Tizza, where the view of the entire desert is sublime. Camp at the foot of this long rocky ridge attacked by the dunes, a beautiful place !

Day 5
Foum Tizza – Saredrar

Crossing of the Saredrar mountain: the ground is strewn with millions of fossils at the heart of a lunar landscape; some pre-Islamic mounds. Then, some imposing dunes appear, pitted with rocks: a dream location, exactly what one looks for in the Sahara. Strolling up there in the late afternoon is a moment of pure joy. Night at Saredra at the foot of the mountain: camp under the khaimas (nomadic tents) ; showers, restaurant, beds, sheet.

Day 6

Saredrar – Marrakech (Ouarzazate)

Return by minibus to Marrakech (or Ouarzazate) by the tizi n’Tichka. Arrival in the afternoon.
